RMHC Malaysia Spreads Festive Cheer With Underprivileged Children

Kuala Lumpur: Ronald McDonald House Charities Malaysia (RMHC Malaysia) will continue to support underprivileged children during festive seasons to create more moments of joy and provide assistance to those in need.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, General Manager of RMHC Malaysia Nasri Nordin stated that in conjunction with Chinese New Year, the charity is hosting a large-scale event to bring joy to 50 children from two orphanages at McDonald’s Pantai Sentral Park, Bukit Kerinchi. He emphasized the importance of celebrating various Malaysian festivals and ensuring that children in orphanage homes feel cherished and celebrated, particularly during occasions like Chinese New Year.

Nasri highlighted that RMHC Malaysia remains focused on children’s welfare, particularly in health and education. As part of their efforts, they are distributing “Back to School Packs” since the school term is set to begin soon. Nationwide, 10,000 school bags will be distributed, and today, 50 children from Yayasan Sunbeams Home and Pusat Jagaan Rumah Charis will receive these school essentials to aid their preparation for the upcoming school term.

Meanwhile, RMHC Malaysia mentioned in a statement that attendees of the event were treated to a vibrant traditional lion dance performance and heartwarming showcases by the children.
