Religious Institutions Encouraged to Promote Moderation and Prudence, Says Perlis Raja Muda

Krabi: The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has called on religious institutions to maintain a moderate and prudent approach, focusing on values of compassion in addressing the challenges of contemporary times. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, who serves as the president of the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs), emphasized the importance of programs like the MAIPs Ziarah Mahabbah Programme in Southern Thailand, covering regions such as Krabi, Ranong, Phuket, Phang Nga, Trang, and Satun.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Raja Muda highlighted that such initiatives are crucial for building understanding, fostering tolerance, and reinforcing Islam's image as a religion of peace and well-being. He stressed the need for the values promoted through the Ziarah Mahabbah programme to be sustained through ongoing communication and structured cooperation. The outreach programme, currently in its 11th year, was concluded at the Adamee Suksa Vittaya School hall.

The Raja Muda led the programme in Krabi, accompanied by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil. The event also included board members of the MAIPs Asnaf Transformation Academy (ATAM) and MAIPs chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor. This year's programme focused on sustaining ATAM's collaboration with entrepreneurs and industry experts in Krabi.

During the closing ceremony, the Perlis Raja Muda and Raja Puan Muda witnessed the signing of a Letter of Intent between Mohd Nazim, representing ATAM, and three Krabi industry players. This agreement aims to establish a strategic partnership in areas such as expertise and training, tourism and culture, entrepreneurship, and corporate social responsibility initiatives to support the asnaf community in Perlis.
