IPOH: Perak PAS Commissioner Razman Zakaria has issued an apology to Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming for a defamatory remark linking the Perak DAP chairman to a flag-waving incident involving the Chinese national flag in Teluk Intan last October. Razman admitted to his mistake in a statement, acknowledging confusion between two separate events officiated by Nga.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Razman clarified that after reviewing information sources, it became clear that Nga Kor Ming was not present at the parade that led to the controversy. He conceded that the allegations made were baseless and false, expressing his sincere apologies to Nga for any harm or embarrassment caused by the claims.
Razman mentioned that the defamatory media statement had been removed from social media platforms, and he committed to refraining from making similar allegations against Nga in the future.
Nga, on October 25, had indicated the possibility of taking action against Razman’s claims regarding his al
leged presence at the Guan Dong Cultural Festival event in Teluk Intan on October 24. The event participants were reportedly seen waving China’s flags, which was widely shared on social media, prompting a police report.
