Kuala lumpur: The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) today announced that Datuk Razlan Razali has tendered his resignation as MAM treasurer, effective immediately, to focus on his personal investments.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MAM president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir stated that Razlan has been a staple of the motorsports scene for decades with his passion for racing and events leading to his tenure at Sepang International Circuit (SIC), where he fostered an exciting atmosphere for international events such as F1 and MotoGP. Razlan's dedication to two-wheeled motorsports resulted in the establishment of the SIC racing team and, eventually, his own RNF Racing MotoGP Team. Throughout his career, rider talent development has remained a primary goal.
Mokhzani expressed appreciation to Razlan for his years of service to MAM and the wider motorsports community, wishing him the best in his future ventures. MAM looks forward to maintaining close contact with him moving forward.
Meanwhile, Razlan confirmed the development, noting that his rapidly expanding business prevents him from committing time to MAM at the moment. He emphasized that if he cannot contribute fully to MAM, it is better to pass the responsibility to someone who can. Razlan expressed his desire to provide opportunities for new talent to lead MAM more effectively, stating he does not wish to hold the position in name only.
