Kangar: Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail today proposed three main thrusts to guide Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) personnel in steering the agency towards the future. His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of embracing new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Raja Muda outlined the first thrust as encouraging MARA personnel to explore and leverage technological advancements to not only adapt to changes but also to shape the future actively. He stressed the need for MARA to be at the forefront of these developments during his speech at the 11th edition of the Sukan MARA Se-Malaysia (SUKMAS) at Dewan 2020, attended by other dignitaries including Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and MARA director-general Datuk Seri Zulfikri Osman.
The second thrust focused on strengthening the entrepreneurship agenda by nurturing innovative and resilient entrepreneurs capable of penetrating international markets. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra highlighted the importance of fostering local companies that can compete and succeed on the global stage.
The third thrust called for developing leadership qualities among MARA personnel. He advocated for personnel who are decisive, strategic, and ready to act as catalysts for transformation, ensuring that future leaders are not just followers of change but drivers of it.
Regarding SUKMAS, the Raja Muda mentioned that the biennial tournament aims to unite MARA personnel, fostering discipline, sportsmanship, and a sense of community. The event serves as a common platform for personnel from various backgrounds and roles to strengthen their bonds.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Zulfikri Osman informed reporters that the 11th SUKMAS features 15 sporting events, including football, netball, volleyball, sepak takraw, and tennis, and involves 3,000 athletes and officials from 14 MARA teams nationwide. He noted that this event is an excellent opportunity for MARA personnel to engage more closely with the community, particularly in Perlis.
