Rahmah Jan’s Seven-Point Development Agenda For Kemabong’s Progress, Prosperity

Kemabong: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Kemabong state seat, Datuk Rahmah Jan Sulaiman Khan, has introduced a seven-point development agenda aimed at ensuring the area continues to progress and prosper. The Tenom UMNO division women’s chief has committed to implementing her agenda if elected during the 17th Sabah state election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rahmah Jan outlined her focus on improving infrastructure and services in Kemabong. Her manifesto includes plans for better roads, enhanced water and electricity supply, and improved internet coverage. She also intends to apply for Kemabong to become a full district. Rahmah Jan emphasized the importance of quality education, empowering the rural economy, transforming Kemabong into a new tourism hub, and expanding housing aid through initiatives like the Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) and the People’s Housing Programme.

Kemabong, located approximately 185 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu, is a town and sub-district within the Tenom district, situated in the interior of Sabah. During her campaign, Rahmah Jan reported receiving numerous complaints from the local community regarding poor road conditions, particularly in village areas, and she has vowed to address these issues.

Despite facing a nine-cornered contest, Rahmah Jan is optimistic about her chances due to the positive reception from the local community. She highlighted her involvement with the constituency’s residents since 2016, which has provided her with insights into their needs and aspirations. Her seven-point agenda is informed by observations and direct feedback from the community.

Rahmah Jan expressed gratitude to the leadership for selecting her as the BN candidate for Kemabong and is determined to make the most of this opportunity. She mentioned that many villagers have expressed their intention to support her due to BN’s past contributions and continued support to the community.

Sabah voters are set to cast their ballots on November 29, with early voting commencing today.
