Queen Offers Support to Family of Kluang Fire Victims

Kuala lumpur: Her Majesty, Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, visited the family of the victims of a tragic fire at Taman Titiwangsa, which resulted in the deaths of a mother and her two children last Wednesday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Queen met with Khairul Nizam Wahid, who lost his wife, Noraini Ibrahim, 49, and their children, Khairul Nurhaziqq, 18, and Khairul Nurhadiff, 11. Accompanying the Queen were Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor, PUSPANITA Johor branch chairperson Datin Siti Azizah Omar, and Kluang District Officer Puan Azurawati Wahid.

During the visit, a brief tahlil and prayers were held for the victims. The Queen presented cash and essential items through the Raja Zarith Sofiah Foundation of Johor. She also directed the Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ) to cover the full cost of repairing and reconstructing the family's two-storey terrace house, which was damaged by the fire.

Khairul expressed his gratitude for the Queen's visit and the support provided. "I am grateful for Her Majesty's concern over the ordeal that has befallen our family. Although their lives can never be replaced, I am thankful that so many people have prayed for my late wife and children," he said.
