Kampung Parit Selamat:Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, visited the family of Irene Sofiya Mohd Khairool Faisal, a student allegedly murdered at a school, at their residence in Kampung Parit Selamat.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the visit included a recitation of surah yasin and tahlil, led by Batu Pahat kadi Mohd Fauzi Bachok. Raja Zarith Sofiah offered a personal contribution to the family and provided words of encouragement to the deceased's father, Mohd Khairool Faisal Khyar, grandmother Jameyah Rabani, and other family members.

Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor also attended the meeting, which lasted nearly an hour.

The incident occurred when the 16-year-old student was found unconscious and covered in blood in the school hall at approximately 5.50 pm on Saturday. Johor Police chief Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad stated that the victim had suffered multiple injuries to the head and body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 16-year-old boy was detained in the Yong Peng area around 7 pm on the same day and is being held for six days, until October 9, to assist with the investigation.
