Kuala lumpur: Mutual respect is among the foundations of harmony that Malaysians have always upheld, Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, said. Her Majesty stated that this principle has significantly contributed to the nation's unity and well-being.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Her Majesty emphasized the importance of being courteous and fostering mutual respect in society, both at home and abroad, through a post on the Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar. The post highlighted a reminder from Her Majesty, particularly directed at the Muslims in the country, referencing a hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari.
The hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah RA, quotes Prophet Muhammad as saying: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbour. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honour his guest. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must either speak good or remain silent."
Recalling an occasion in February, the post detailed how the Queen warmly interacted with more than 100 tourists from various countries at the main entrance of Istana Negara. This act was described as a reflection of Her Majesty's graciousness and concern for the people and visitors to the country.
