Beijing: At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to China from May 19 to 20. This visit is a fresh demonstration of the close high-level exchanges that have become a distinctive feature of China-Russia relations in the new era.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Putin's visit comes at a historically significant moment. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation and the founding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). It also marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.
