Public Satisfaction With Melaka Government’s Service Delivery Reaches 91.94 Pct

Melaka: The rate of public satisfaction with the Melaka government's public service delivery reached 91.94 per cent in 2025, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh. He attributed this achievement to initiatives like the Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) Programme, which connects civil servants with residents across state constituencies to address public complaints and issues.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, one of the programme's highlights was its two-week duration last year, during which civil servants actively engaged with the community to resolve various issues, leading to a high level of public satisfaction. Chief Minister Ab Rauf expressed gratitude towards the civil servants for their role in implementing the state government's policies and initiatives over the past year. He made these remarks during the 2026 Melaka Government Public Service Appreciation Ceremony, themed 'Melaka Sayang Rakyat (MESRA): Teras Bakti, Pemacu Pertiwi', attended by Melaka State Secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad.

Ab Rauf emphasized the state government's confidence in its progress, citing over ten achievements and accolades earned at the state, national, and international levels during the first half of the year. With this momentum, the government aims to target over 20 achievements by the end of the year. He stressed that recognitions should not lead to complacency but serve as a reminder of growing public expectations, urging civil servants to enhance service delivery and fulfill their responsibilities to the people.

He further explained that the awards are not just recognitions but also a call to set an example and foster a culture of excellence in public service. The event's theme underscores Melaka's commitment to ensuring that every civil servant embodies the MESRA concept, which is central to the state government's administration in delivering exemplary service.

At the ceremony, 379 state civil servants received the Excellent Service Award (APC), while 39 were honored with the Special Service Award (AKP) based on their 2025 performance evaluations.
