Johor Polls: BN On Track For Positive Showing, Says Akmal

Selandar: UMNO Youth is confident that Barisan Nasional (BN) is on track for a positive showing in the Johor state election on July 11, citing the encouraging response to its campaign efforts so far. UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh said support for the coalition, particularly among young voters, has been highly encouraging.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Muhamad Akmal expressed optimism regarding the momentum BN has gained among young people, stating that the coalition has a "good chance" due to the positive response they have received. He highlighted that BN is fielding 13 young candidates in the election, six of whom are from UMNO Youth, emphasizing the coalition's commitment to providing young people with opportunities to serve as elected representatives and future leaders.

Dr Muhamad Akmal also noted that the UMNO Youth machinery is fully prepared for the upcoming election as well as other state polls scheduled for this year. Early voting is set to take place on July 7.
