Arau: Members of the public are invited to attend the Malam Kilauan Cahaya at Istana Arau in celebration of the Raja of Perlis' birthday, with Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin granting permission to open the palace grounds for the event.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a statement from the Office of the Raja of Perlis announced that the event will take place from 9.30 pm to 11.30 pm. Visitors attending the programme are expected to wear proper and appropriate attire.
The statement further expressed hopes for the event, stating, "May this year's Malam Kilauan Cahaya create a thousand and one beautiful memories for the people."
Guidelines accompanying the statement request visitors to refrain from bringing outside food and beverages into the palace grounds. Additionally, Istana Arau is designated as a non-smoking area, prohibiting the use of electronic cigarettes (vapes). Visitors are encouraged to dispose of rubbish in designated bins and remain within permitted areas.
For the convenience of the event, roads on both sides in front of Istana Arau will be temporarily closed from 8 pm until the programme concludes.
