Public Invited to Enliven MOT Mini Carnival at Gombak Integrated Terminal

Gombak: The public is invited to attend and enliven the two-day MOT Mini Carnival: Meet the Customers and Career Carnival Day, which began today, at the Gombak Integrated Terminal (TBG) from 10 am to 6 pm, as entrance is free.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) said in a statement that various activities are being held for visitors, including employment opportunities, Rahmah sales, a lucky draw, as well as interactive exhibitions and digital entertainment.

Other events lined up include the helmet-exchange programme by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), police summons payment counters, career exhibition, digital exhibition, sports competition, and video games like Roblox and Nintendo Switch.

In the Career Carnival, the public will be exposed to employment opportunities in the transport, logistics, and mobility sectors, including information on career paths, qualifications, and skills required by the industry.

The digital exhibition segment provides opportunities for visitors to try out various applications and online services offered by the MOT and its agencies, in line with the country’s digitalisation aspirations.

The collaboration with the Selangor State Education Department also allows for the involvement of students from schools, vocational colleges, and institutions of higher learning in educational activities to nurture their interests in transportation, logistics, and mobility. This will also help produce a highly knowledgeable and skilled workforce in the future.

“This Mini Carnival serves as a people-friendly platform that directly connects the MOT with the community to enable them to express their views, obtain information, and settle matters with officers from the ministry and related agencies. This approach not only facilitates the people but also increases confidence in the MOT as a transparent, friendly, and accessible public service provider,” it added.

The MOT said the TBG launching ceremony will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tomorrow and will be attended by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook. The MOT added that such programmes would continue to be held to strengthen ties between the government and the people, expand career opportunities, introduce digital innovations, and raise the public’s understanding of the ministry’s role in developing the country’s transport sector.
