PSIS Triumph at SIIF 2025 Highlights TVET’s Growing Importance: Zambry

Seoul: Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) team's remarkable success at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2025 underscores that polytechnics are gaining recognition as a primary choice, rather than a secondary one, stated Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir. The PSIS team secured two esteemed awards, a testament to the capability of polytechnics to cultivate globally competitive innovators.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Zambry expressed his heartfelt appreciation and extended his congratulations to the entire team and all those involved for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and teamwork, in a Facebook post. The minister highlighted that this achievement is a clear indication of the potential nurtured within polytechnics, enabling them to excel on an international platform.

During the 2025 SIIF held in Seoul, South Korea, from December 3 to 6, PSIS stood out by winning a gold award for their innovative project, A-Port Simulation: Inclusive Airport Experience with Interactive Navigation. Additionally, they received a silver award for the PlantScape Apps for Residential 2.0 project. The SIIF event serves as a platform where inventors and researchers worldwide converge to present new ideas and products to manufacturers, investors, distributors, licensing firms, and the public.
