Agrobank Partners with MAINS for Infaq Collection in Negeri Sembilan

Seremban: Agrobank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) to make Agrobank the official account for infaq collection in Negeri Sembilan, thus strengthening the management of Islamic social funds in a more systematic and transparent manner. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Agrobank group president/chief executive officer Datuk Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin stated that the strategic collaboration reflects Agrobank's continued commitment in supporting the socio-economic development of the ummah as well as strengthening the governance of Islamic welfare funds. The use of Agrobank's account as the official account for infaq collection reflects the trust placed in Agrobank in managing public funds professionally, transparently, and with integrity. The MoU signing ceremony took place during the launch of the Negeri Sembilan Mosque Infaq Fund (Iman9 Fund), organised by MAINS and officiated by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun. The agre ement was signed by Agrobank chief business officer Syed Hairul Anuar Syed Fadzil representing Agrobank, while MAINS was represented by its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Aziz Sheikh Abdul Kadir, witnessed by Aminuddin. Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah highlighted that through the establishment of the Iman9 Fund, collected funds will be specifically used for the development and empowerment of mosque institutions as centers for religious activities, education, and community. This collaboration fully complies with Shariah principles, ensuring the preservation of religion and property, and infaq is an act of worship encouraged in the Quran and Sunnah. He further explained that by managing funds based on trust and transparency, Agrobank ensures that every transaction is free from elements of usury, gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling/speculation), thus guaranteeing the use of funds for halal and beneficial purposes. This initiative facilitates Muslims in fulfilling their social responsibilities through safe and Sha ria-compliant banking channels, while also strengthening the role of mosques as centers of worship, education, and the well-being of the ummah. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun stated that Dana Iman9 reflects MAINS's ongoing commitment and determination in empowering mosque institutions as a development of the ummah, alongside long-term measures to strengthen infaq collections in a more transparent and sustainable manner. He emphasized that in line with the agenda of digitizing public services and facilitating people's affairs, MAINS has established a strategic collaboration with Agrobank as the main implementing partner of Dana Iman9, thus facilitating community participation and enhancing the transparency and efficiency of governance fund.
