Kuala lumpur: The profession of valuation, estate agency, and property management is an important professional services sector and serves as one of the main pillars of the country’s economic growth, said Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying. She emphasized the significance of professionals in this field in boosting consumer confidence regarding real estate decisions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, registered valuers and real estate agents play an important role in guiding and educating consumers, especially buyers, by providing accurate information on the property market. This, in turn, enables buyers to make informed decisions when acquiring their dream homes or properties. Lim Hui Ying made these remarks during her speech at the 27th Convocation and Annual Dinner of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP).
Lim also expressed the government’s confidence in BOVAEP’s ability to continue producing highly skilled and competent members who contribute to the nation’s development. She highlighted that BOVAEP plays a crucial role in preparing its members to become professionals capable of contributing to the country’s economic progress. The government remains committed to supporting every service and program implemented by BOVAEP.
The event celebrated the achievement of 29 registered valuers, 46 registered estate agents, and 79 graduates of the diploma in estate agency, along with four recipients of the outstanding student award.
