Putrajaya:Less than an hour before presenting Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was receiving suggestions from worshippers after Friday prayers at Masjid Putra.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar mentioned that several individuals he encountered proposed various ideas, including topics related to the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) and housing.

Anwar explained that as he was leaving the mosque, three or four people suggested different topics, with some focusing on PTPTN and one person bringing up housing. He noted that it is important to continue considering such suggestions.

Anwar attended the mosque dressed in a light blue baju Melayu and songkok, arriving at 1.04 pm, where he was welcomed by chief imam Dr. Muhamad Zakuwa Rodzali, the mosque management, and congregants. The Friday prayers were led by Hazman Hashim, who delivered a sermon titled "Al-Quran Menyatukan Hati, Kasih Merentas Generasi" (The Quran Unites Hearts, Love Across Generations). He prayed for guidance and wisdom for the Prime Minister and the leadership as they manage the country's treasury ahead of Budget 2027.

Anwar, who also serves as the Finance Minister, is scheduled to present Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat at 3.30 pm. This budget, the fifth under his MADANI government, aims to translate economic growth into improved well-being and a better standard of living for the people.
