Kuala Lumpur:Kedah Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has sanctioned an additional RM2.8 million to repair basic infrastructure at 14 Islamic education institutions in Kedah this year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, stated the purpose of this allocation is to provide students with a more comfortable and safe learning environment. The initiative is part of the MADANI Government's commitment to enhancing Islamic education institutions and promoting the study of hadith within society.
In addition to the infrastructure funding, Anwar announced a RM250,000 allocation for programmes related to hadith. These funds will be managed by the Kedah Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM).
Anwar expressed hope that these efforts will benefit the students and encourage a culture of knowledge in the community.
