Police Submit Investigation Paper On Banting Assault Case To AGC

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhamad Farid assured reporters that the investigation is being conducted transparently. This statement was made during a Disposal of Case Items Ceremony at the Serdang District Police Headquarters. On December 23, it was reported that police were investigating allegations of a local man being beaten by individuals who claimed to be police officers at a house in Kampung Sungai Ingat, Banting.

Kuala Langat Deputy District Police Chief DSP Mohd Sufian Amin noted that the report was filed by the victim's mother. She claimed to have a three-minute CCTV recording showing her son being slapped by the individuals. The report indicated that the complainant's son was slapped several times during a search for evidence, and the complainant's father also witnessed the incident.

In a separate development, Muhamad Farid mentioned that the investigation paper pertaining to a fast-food restaurant worker assaulted by a woman, allegedly over a TikTok business matter, has been forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's office. The 40-year-old female suspect is expected to be charged at the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court on January 8.

Media reports stated that the assault incident took place on December 8 at 4:00 pm, leading to the victim suffering swelling on the left cheek and a small wound inside the left lip. The suspect is currently abroad and will face charges upon her return.

Muhamad Farid also highlighted the disposal of 283,872 packs of cigarettes, 53,691 cans and bottles of liquor, 178 gambling-related items, 353 bitcoin machines, and other seized items worth RM3.5 million during the ceremony. These items were related to 673 investigation papers from 2010 to the present year.
