Police Dismiss Missing Pupil Report as Fabrication by Schoolmates

Kulim:Two female pupils caused alarm among school authorities when they falsely reported that their 11-year-old friend had left school without permission, boarding a motorcycle with an unknown man, leading to a missing person report.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kulim police chief Supt Syamsul Sinring clarified that the missing pupil had never left the school premises; she was found hiding in a toilet. The girl arrived at school at 7.20 am, dropped off by her older sister, and attended the school assembly at 8 am. During the assembly, an incident occurred where she played with her friend's hair bun, causing the friend to pull her headscarf, which led to the inner cap falling off.

Upset by this interaction, the pupil went to the toilet to fix her headscarf and chose to remain there instead of attending class.

Syamsul explained that the girl's friend, along with another pupil, later told a teacher that she had left with an unknown man on a motorcycle around 8.20 am. However, the pupil who reported this later confessed that the story was fabricated out of spite towards her friend. The claim of the friend leaving with a man was entirely false.
