Bera: Police arrested five Orang Asli who are believed to have obstructed enforcement personnel from carrying out their duties during an operation at the Tasek Bera Conservation Forest Reserve in Bera yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bera police chief Supt Zulkiflee Nazir stated that the incident occurred at about 10 am. The Pahang State Enforcement Unit (UPNP), in collaboration with several agencies including the Forestry Department, Bera District and Land Office, and General Operations Force (GOF), was conducting an enforcement operation under the National Forestry Act 1984 at the time of the incident.

It was reported that during the operation, a group of individuals set up an obstruction and provoked the enforcement team while they were performing their duties. In response, police arrested a man and four women, aged between 30 and 60, to assist in investigations under Section 186 of the Penal Code.

In a statement, Supt Zulkiflee advised the public to refrain from spreading unverified or false information that could lead to misunderstandings and disrupt public order. Several video clips of the incident have gone viral on social media, eliciting various reactions from the public.
