Kuala Lumpur: The Ministry of National Unity, through the National Library of Malaysia (PNM), is inviting local publishers to participate in the PNM Book Award 2025/2026, with submissions now officially open.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang announced in a Facebook post that interested publishers must submit their entries by June 30. He emphasized the opportunity as a significant event for the publishing world, highlighting the prestigious nature of the award, which aims to recognize high-quality works that contribute to knowledge development and enhance the nation’s reading culture.
The award, themed “Perbukuan Wadah Perpaduan Negara,” encompasses four main categories: Children’s Fiction, Children’s Non-Fiction, Adult Fiction, and Adult Non-Fiction. Minister Aaron encouraged publishers not to miss the chance to make a significant impact in Malaysia’s publishing history and to be part of the nation’s intellectual legacy.
