PN To Contest All 28 Seats In Melaka Polls

Klebang: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has confirmed it will contest all 28 state seats in the Melaka state election, which is expected to be held soon. PN deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin stated that seat distribution would be finalized through negotiations with component parties to ensure the best strategy is in place to secure victory.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhyiddin emphasized that PN is ready to face the election, with its machinery at all levels being strengthened. He mentioned that Bersatu division chiefs have been instructed to submit names of prospective candidates for consideration. The selection of candidates will be based on criteria such as good character, integrity, a proven track record, experience, and a close rapport with the local community.

At the launch of the Melaka Bersatu election machinery in Klebang, Muhyiddin highlighted that while anyone may offer to contest, PN seeks candidates with good character, a strong work ethic, experience, and close ties with the people. He also noted that PN would continue discussions with other parties interested in collaborating ahead of the Melaka state election, with any seat distribution to be decided through joint negotiations.
