PM The ‘Best Salesman’ For Malaysian Products At International Level – Felda Chairman

Kuala Lumpur: Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek has described Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Malaysia’s “best salesperson” to promote the country’s products internationally, thus increasing demand.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Shabery highlighted Anwar’s ability and authority in strengthening trade relations with foreign countries like China, Turkey, and India, which are significant importers of Malaysian palm oil. This strategic engagement is expected to bolster national revenue.

“Our revenue depends a lot on prices, which are determined by supply and demand, but we believe that one of the key factors is the confidence people have in Malaysia,” he stated. He further assured settlers of the Prime Minister’s unmatched capability in enhancing the prices and value of Malaysian products.

The remarks were made during a Breaking of Fast event with the Prime Minister, attended by approximately 1,300 people, including 400 representatives from new generation settlers of Felda Trolak, Perak; Felda Mempaga and Felda Jengka, Pahang; along with Felda staff and subsidiary representatives. The event also saw the presence of Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.

Earlier, the Prime Minister engaged in discussions with Felda’s top management, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts for economic growth.
