Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has given the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) a one-month deadline to chart a new direction for the agency. He stated that this initiative aims to guarantee a better future for the settlers.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the involvement of government machinery, the Finance Ministry, and other experts to ensure satisfaction with Felda’s new approach. He expressed the need for a breakthrough that would instill confidence among the hundreds of thousands of settlers.
In his address at the Iftar with Felda Settlers event, Anwar highlighted the urgency of this initiative. Also present at the event were Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, and Felda chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek.
The Prime Minister assured that the MADANI government would ensure Felda is on the right track, aiming to enhance its prestige and secure a brighter future for the settlers as well as the country’s economy.
