Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s recent announcements are viewed as setting a transformative pace for national governance. The focus on incorporating perspectives from various sectors, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and political parties, underscores a commitment to integrating diverse views into actionable strategies.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil emphasized that the business community is expected to receive these measures positively. This reflects the government’s openness to industry feedback in fostering a sustainable and competitive business environment. In the realm of education, Fahmi highlighted the government’s increased funding for schools and expedited approvals for infrastructure improvements, facilitating faster project execution.

Fahmi elaborated that processes for G1 to G4 contractors have been simplified, which is anticipated to benefit the smal
l construction industry directly. Additionally, enhancements to the Sales and Services Tax (SST) and the introduction of e-invoicing have alleviated pressures on businesses, particularly MSMEs, with potential for increased company revenues benefiting workers.

In terms of direct financial support, the introduction of monthly Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA), a one-off RM100 SARA for All payment, and the first phase of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) provide public relief. Efficient dissemination of these funds is demonstrated by the 96 per cent redemption rate for the RM100 SARA for All assistance, highlighting the effectiveness of using MyKad as a distribution tool.

Fahmi also pointed out the significance of the announcement of four key Bills slated for introduction this year, reflecting the MADANI Government’s dedication to institutional reforms. These include legislation on freedom of information, an Ombudsman establishment, separation of the Attorney General and Public Prosecut
