Putrajaya: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today officially received the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) document, which he is scheduled to table in the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow. The Prime Minister said the handover marked the completion of the preparation phase for the country’s five-year development plan for the 2026-2030 period.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, stated that the 13MP was drawn up as a comprehensive development plan with a focus on uplifting the people fairly and equitably, without sidelining any group. He emphasized that its preparation involved extensive engagement sessions with a wide range of stakeholders across sectors, backgrounds, and regions, including state governments, to ensure the voice of the people is truly reflected in the nation’s future planning.
Anwar expressed his intention to table the 13MP motion in the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow through a Facebook post. He also mentioned that the MADANI Government welcomes constructive debate and proposals from all Members of Parliament to further strengthen the policies and direction outlined.
Earlier in the day, Anwar received the 13MP document from Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya. In a separate post, Anwar said the 13MP, themed ‘Melakar Semula Pembangunan’, aims to bring the best outcomes for the people and lay a strong foundation for Malaysia to step into a more glorious decade.
Anwar called for a redesign of the nation’s development, centered on the people and grounded in the values of compassion, justice, and humanity, with the vision of reaching new heights while staying firmly rooted. The tabling of the 13MP at noon will be broadcast live by the Department of Broadcasting (RTM), BERNAMA TV, and the Prime Minister’s official social media platforms.
