Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to make several important announcements during the Prime Minister's Department monthly assembly for January tomorrow. Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that during the assembly, the Prime Minister will deliver his 2026 New Year Message and make key announcements regarding critical issues involving the economy, education, and institutional reform.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister will call a special Cabinet meeting on the first day of the January work week to discuss several urgent issues. Following the meeting, at 11:30 am, he will deliver his New Year Message to the staff of the Prime Minister's Department. Transport Minister Anthony Loke, speaking at the Melaka DAP Convention, highlighted the significance of these announcements in addressing the challenges faced by the nation.

Loke emphasized that the anticipated announcements demonstrate the seriousness of the Prime Minister and the MADANI Government leadership in tackling current issues, particularly in navigating a challenging economic climate. He pointed out that business owners are facing many issues that may negatively impact the business environment, but expressed confidence that positive announcements regarding matters such as tax refunds will be made to address these concerns.

He further noted that the Prime Minister's message will outline the primary direction for the country and the government in the new year. However, Loke stressed that the most important aspect is the implementation and actions taken by the government following these announcements.
