PM Anwar Encourages Continued Appreciation of P. Ramlee’s Contributions

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his hope that society will continue to recognize and value the works and contributions of the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee in the entertainment industry of the country, Anwar emphasized that P. Ramlee's creations are significant not only for their entertainment value but also for their embodiment of the nation's cultural and artistic identity.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar noted that P. Ramlee's legacy highlights the importance of creativity and dedication in artistry, serving as an inspiration to many. He shared his experience attending the P. Ramlee 'Madu Tiga' Live Concert at the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Ahmad Muriz Che Rose. Anwar praised the performance, acknowledging the efforts of the dedicated team behind the concert.

The P. Ramlee 'Madu Tiga' Live Concert, which commenced yesterday, is scheduled to run for two days at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, KLCC. The event includes a screening of the classic comedy film Madu Tiga, with live musical accompaniment. This initiative marks the second occasion where the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra has performed live alongside a local film screening, the first being OlaBola in 2017.
