Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his congratulations to Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Regent of Johor, on being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Johor Super Crown Polo Tournament (JSCPT) 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post, Prime Minister Anwar highlighted Tunku Mahkota Ismail's performance, leadership, and fighting spirit, which emphasized His Royal Highness' excellence as a sporting champion. Anwar stated that Tunku Mahkota Ismail is a source of pride not only to the people of Johor but also to all Malaysians.

Tunku Mahkota Ismail was named the MVP of JSCPT 2026 after delivering a remarkable performance throughout the tournament. He led Royal Johor to a 10-7 victory over Temasek in the final, contributing six goals to his team's triumph.

The 22-goal handicap tournament, held from September 1 to 6, marked the highest-handicap polo competition organized in Malaysia to date. The event was driven by a shared vision between Tunku Mahkota Ismail and Polito Pieres to position Johor as a leading destination on the international polo circuit.
