Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his deep appreciation to all personnel and veterans of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for their service, contributions, and dedication in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and security. Anwar, in a Facebook post in conjunction with the RMAF's 68th anniversary celebration today, said the force has long remained a steadfast guardian of the country's airspace, carrying out its duties with courage, professionalism, and sacrifice.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the RMAF's unwavering commitment to ensuring Malaysia's sovereignty, security, and peace. He also paid tribute to the RMAF personnel who have passed away, wishing that their souls be showered with blessings and placed among the righteous. Anwar extended 68th anniversary greetings to the RMAF and prayed for the force's continued excellence, professionalism, and readiness in fulfilling its responsibilities for the nation's security.
The RMAF's anniversary is celebrated on June 1 each year to commemorate the establishment of the country's air defence force.
