PKR Members Urged to Follow PM Anwar’s Leadership in National Development

Kuala Lumpur: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) members must emulate the leadership and success of their president and Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who has worked tirelessly to elevate Malaysia’s name on the global stage, says PKR secretary-general Dr Fuziah Salleh. She highlighted the importance of Anwar’s commitment to good governance as a driving force for national development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Fuziah described Anwar as a transformation figure, transitioning from a reformist to a respected statesman, with Malaysia currently serving as the ASEAN Chair. She emphasized his role as a peacemaker whose leadership is closely monitored worldwide. Fuziah encouraged PKR members to draw inspiration from Anwar’s tireless work ethic, urging them to match his dedication and pace in their efforts.

Fuziah delivered her remarks during the joint opening of the PKR Youth (AMK) Congress and Women’s Congress, attended by notable figures such as PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Central Election Committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Wanita chief and Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, and AMK chief and Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim.

As Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Fuziah called on PKR members, particularly the party wings, to collaborate in ensuring the Prime Minister secures a second term. She stressed the necessity of translating the MADANI policies into concrete actions that would benefit future generations, emphasizing the need for value-driven politics and community service over mere rhetoric.

Fuziah urged unity among party members following the central leadership elections and highlighted the importance of focusing on the upcoming Sabah and Sarawak state elections before the General Election. She encouraged members to set aside differences and work as a cohesive team under the banner of ‘Kita Keadilan.’

Finally, Fuziah cautioned delegates against jeopardizing the party for personal agendas, using the metaphor of a ship to illustrate the consequences of internal strife. She called for politics based on values, advocating for healthy competition and debate within the party rather than internal conflict.
