Kedah: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is now at its strongest level and its strength must continue to be built to ensure the party remains solid, said its president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the party's strength to navigate and overcome challenges while speaking at the Kedah PKR Convention.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted that despite facing heavier challenges compared to other parties, PKR could leverage teamwork to mobilize its strength and secure victory. He urged the party members to focus on building strength, likening it to ensuring "the ship can dock with style and stability."
Anwar also acknowledged that the party must not become complacent, admitting that his focus as prime minister on national economic and governmental stability over the past three years had diverted some attention from party affairs. He stressed the importance of addressing issues truthfully and not through fabrication, as part of the party's struggle should be based on facts.
Further, Anwar advised that the party must not entertain views driven by hatred but instead carry out duties with trustworthiness and responsibility. He remarked that while opposition parties might claim to uphold Islam, true adherence lies in the practice of justice and the implementation of its teachings, which PKR takes seriously as it is the religion of the Federation. The party's task, he added, is to refine situations rather than evade them.
