Pilgrims’ Families’ Trust Inspires Excellence in Haj Services, Says TH CEO

Kuala lumpur: The unwavering trust placed by the next of kin of haj pilgrims in Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has inspired haj operation staff to continue delivering exemplary services to pilgrims in the Holy Land. TH Group managing director and chief executive officer Mustakim Mohamad shared how a heartfelt comment posted by a pilgrim's family member during the live broadcast of the pilgrims' departure on TH's official Facebook page had truly touched his heart.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mustakim recounted a moving comment from a pilgrim's child that read, 'Kami serahkan ibu ayah kami kepada Tabung Haji' (We leave our parents in Tabung Haji's care), highlighting the deep trust the public has in TH and its personnel. He emphasized that this strong trust must be mirrored in excellent service to haj pilgrims, delivered with patience, empathy, and sincerity throughout the haj operation.

Mustakim stressed that pilgrims should be treated as family, saying, 'They are not just pilgrims. They are our parents and relatives. We must treat them as best and as sincerely as possible, with calmness and an open heart.' He also mentioned TH's determination to maintain its record of receiving the Labaytum Award from the Saudi Arabian government, which recognizes the commitment of its staff and the quality of service provided to Malaysian pilgrims.

He noted that their commitment is further supported by the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for the 1446H haj season, which reached 93 per cent, surpassing the original target of 85 per cent. Haj operations for the 1447H/2026 season officially began on April 18, with 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims departing in stages for Madinah and Makkah via 100 chartered flights operated by AMAL by Malaysia Airlines and Saudia Airlines.
