PHB Mega CSR Day Benefits Over 5,700 People

Kuala lumpur: More than 5,700 people benefited from community outreach programmes carried out by Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB) under its Mega CSR Day initiative across four locations in the Klang Valley last Saturday. The one-day corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative involved more than 200 PHB employees, who contributed over 1,000 volunteer hours to programmes focusing on health, education, community welfare, and the environment.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PHB mentioned in a statement that under its education pillar, it supported the School in Hospital (SDH) programme at Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani, UKM Specialist Children's Hospital, by contributing a smart interactive board, a reading corner, and educational learning kits to provide hospitalised children with a more conducive learning environment.

PHB's health initiative, organised with Pusat Darah Negara and Kelana Jaya Medical Centre (KJMC) at NU Empire, featured a blood donation drive and free screenings for conditions including diabetes and hypertension. PHB employees also carried out refurbishment and enhancement works at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu to provide residents with a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable living environment.

As part of its environmental efforts, PHB volunteers participated in habitat clean-up activities at Zoo Negara to support biodiversity conservation and animal welfare while raising environmental awareness among employees.

PHB Group Managing Director Mazuki Abdullah @ Muhammad stated that Mega CSR Day marked the company's first large-scale CSR initiative conducted simultaneously across four locations, reflecting PHB's belief that creating sustainable value extends beyond its business operations. He highlighted PHB's commitment to increasing Bumiputera ownership and participation in prime commercial real estate through Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB), while also making a meaningful contribution to society and the environment.

The initiative aimed at fostering a stronger culture of volunteerism while contributing to healthier communities, better educational opportunities, improved living conditions, and a more sustainable environment. 'The enthusiasm demonstrated by our employees, who collectively contributed more than 1,000 volunteer hours, highlights the power of collective action in creating positive and lasting change. At PHB, sustainability is not merely a corporate aspiration but a shared responsibility. Guided by the principles of People, Planet and Profit, we will continue to pursue initiatives that create long-term value for our stakeholders and the communities we serve,' he said.

Mega CSR Day is part of PHB's broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda, which integrates responsible business practices with community engagement and environmental stewardship in support of sustainable national development.
