PH Leaders To Meet To Discuss Outcomes Of PKR Congress, DAP Conference

Kuala lumpur: Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders are scheduled to convene soon to address several critical issues highlighted during the recent PKR National Congress and DAP Party Conference. These discussions are set to focus on accelerating reform initiatives and tackling significant legal violations and scandals.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PKR information chief Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil emphasized the urgency of the messages delivered by delegates at both the PKR congress and the DAP conference. Fahmi noted the clear mandate to expedite reform efforts and enforce strict measures against legal breaches and major scandals.

Fahmi stated, "The message conveyed by the delegates at the Keadilan Congress and members at the DAP Conference was very clear that efforts to advance reforms must be accelerated and firm action must be taken, including on issues involving violations of the law and major scandals." He further mentioned that investigations into agencies such as Tabung Haji and Felda will be prioritized, as instructed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

The Communications Minister made these statements during a media briefing following the Communications Ministry's monthly assembly, which was also attended by Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching and ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah.

Fahmi also expressed gratitude to the DAP leadership for their commitment to remain part of the Federal Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim until the end of the current parliamentary term. He highlighted the importance of political stability, as underscored by the Prime Minister during his closing remarks at the 2026 PKR National Congress.

In the pursuit of ensuring that actions taken are aligned with the interests of the nation and its citizens, Fahmi stressed that political motives should not overshadow the greater good. This sentiment was supported by the overwhelming vote from 1,857 DAP delegates at the 2026 DAP Party Conference held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), endorsing the party's continued participation in the Federal Government.
