PETRONAS And Putrajaya Holdings Ink Agreement To Develop PETRONAS Geoscience Technology Centre

Putrajaya: PETRONAS, through Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), has formalised an agreement with Gilang Cendana Sdn Bhd (GCSB), a subsidiary of Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PjH) to develop the PETRONAS Geoscience Technology Centre (PGTC). This facility will serve as a national hub for geoscience excellence, dedicated to advancing geoscience innovation and capability in Malaysia, and the first PETRONAS landmark in Putrajaya.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the collaboration between PETRONAS and GCSB is set to make significant contributions to the geoscience field in Malaysia. The PGTC is envisaged to be a center for geoscience research, development, and innovation, aimed at enhancing the country’s capabilities in this field. This initiative is expected to position Malaysia as a leader in geoscience technology advancements.

The establishment of PGTC represents a strategic move by PETRONAS to invest in future-oriented projects that align with national interests. The centre is anticipated to provide valuable resources and infrastructure to support geoscientists and researchers, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge-sharing and technological development.

The agreement signifies a milestone for PETRONAS as it marks the company’s first landmark in Putrajaya, underscoring its commitment to contributing to the growth and development of Malaysia’s geoscience sector.
