Perlis Raja Muda Urges Students to Master Technology and Critical Thinking

Arau:University students need to master technology while developing strong reading skills, critical thinking, and values, as emphasized by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. He highlighted the necessity for students to not only use technology but also create value through knowledge and innovation in a rapidly changing world.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin stressed the importance of adaptability and critical thinking to meet evolving demands. He urged students to make the most of their higher education opportunities to become knowledgeable and competent graduates with integrity, capable of contributing to industry and society.

During the Appreciation Ceremony at Universiti Malaysia Perlis' (UniMAP) Orientation Week for the 2026/2027 Academic Session, he encouraged students not to squander the support and sacrifices of their families. The event was attended by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, the UniMAP Pro-Chancellor, and their daughter, Hajah Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, also the UniMAP Chancellor, highlighted the university's role in providing an environment for students to acquire knowledge, hone skills, and unlock potential. He noted the arrival of new students with diverse backgrounds, dreams, and aspirations, who are now part of the UniMAP community.

Istana Arau reported that UniMAP has welcomed 2,798 new students into its Bachelor's degree programs for the 2026/2027 academic session. Registration began on September 26, followed by an Orientation Week designed to enhance academic preparedness, character development, and familiarity with campus life.
