Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia Partners with Telekom Malaysia for Venue Rebranding

Kuala lumpur: Stadium Nasional and Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil will be rebranded as TM, Stadium Nasional and Unifi Arena effective March 6, 2026. Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM) announced this decision after entering into a naming rights partnership with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) for a period of three years.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this strategic move aims to maintain the relevance, comfort, and competitiveness of these key venues for hosting international-class sports and entertainment events. The statement emphasized that the National Stadium and Putra Stadium are more than just event venues; they are sites where historic moments are created, and national unity is celebrated.

PSM's chief executive officer, Iliyas Jamil, expressed the corporation's commitment to maintaining these venues at the highest standards for Malaysians. He stated that the collaboration is part of an initiative to enhance the sustainability and long-term development of the stadiums. The funding from this partnership will be allocated toward upgrading and improving the facilities to enhance the visitor experience.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad's Group chief executive officer, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, conveyed the company's honor in being granted the naming rights for these iconic venues. He emphasized the historic significance of the stadiums in unifying the Malaysian community and expressed hope that the collaboration would continue to inspire national pride for future generations.
