Perak: The Perak state government has emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards bullying incidents involving students at MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) in the state. This announcement follows allegations that students have damaged another student's clothing.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah declared that those implicated in the incident would face suitable disciplinary measures. He stressed the importance of accountability, stating, "Whoever is responsible must face the consequences, as we do not want bullying or gangsterism to spread among our children."
Khairudin further asserted that if the students involved are found guilty, they must be punished according to the school's regulations and the Education Ministry's guidelines. This statement was made during an education program attended by Perak State Education Department director Zulkafli Mohamed Mokhtar.
Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki also addressed the situation, confirming that the students allegedly involved have been identified. A report has been submitted by the institution's management, and investigations are being conducted swiftly to resolve the matter.
