Perak Announces RM500 Incentive For Media Practitioners

Perak: Media practitioners in Perak will receive a one-off incentive of RM500 as a token of appreciation for their sacrifices in disseminating the state government's initiatives and policies to the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad stated that the media is not an entity outside the system; rather, it is part of the ecosystem that helps strengthen governance to become more mature and effective. He emphasized the importance of conveying state government initiatives in a clear manner that resonates with the realities of society, ensuring that the efforts are understood and appreciated.

Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, speaking at the Perak Sejahtera Media Night 2025, expressed the state government's gratitude towards journalists, highlighting their role in the journey to achieve the Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda. He acknowledged the media's consistent effort in bringing stories of the plan's successes to the public through newspapers and television broadcasts.

He further noted that the hard work of journalists, photographers, editors, portal writers, broadcasters, and the entire media ecosystem is crucial for reaching the people. Their dedication, often under significant time pressure and challenging circumstances, ensures that the state's activities and achievements are communicated effectively.

During the ceremony, the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) was recognized for its contributions, winning eight awards.
