Kuala Lumpur:Pepper Labs Sdn Bhd, known for supporting the AI learning journey of over 400,000 learners in Malaysia, is now venturing into AI solutions. This expansion builds on the company's efforts in talent development and community empowerment.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company announced that it would focus on developing agentic AI solutions aimed at transforming the public sector and creating bespoke sovereign AI platforms. These platforms will be customized to meet the data, workflows, language, and governance needs of Malaysian organizations.

The company's approach integrates AI talent development with technology implementation, assisting organizations in identifying high-value use cases, preparing employees, and fostering the adoption of production-ready AI solutions. Managing Director Thanaselan Rajendran emphasized the importance of Malaysia developing local capabilities to design, build, govern, and scale AI solutions that meet its own institutional and economic needs.

Pepper Labs' reach to learners was achieved through initiatives like AI Ready Malaysia and AI for My Future Malaysia, along with programs through the nationwide NADI network under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Collaborative efforts with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other tech giants have also played a significant role.

The company is further extending its focus by connecting AI talent pipelines with technology adoption across various sectors, including communities and small to medium enterprises. Partnerships with Microsoft, AWS, and Google enhance its access to AI technologies and industry-recognized learning content, facilitating the transition from AI learning to practical implementation.
