Putrajaya: The National Day 2025 celebrations are heating up as the Pentarama MerdekaHOHO performance featuring the KL Hop On Hop Off (HOHO) bus captivated visitors at two stops, the Dorsett Hotel and Dataran Putrajaya here tonight.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the visitors, most of them arriving early in Putrajaya for the National Day parade tomorrow, were entertained by Pentarama artists, with many of them singing along while waving Jalur Gemilang flags. Tonight’s Pentarama MerdekaHOHO was joined by Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and Information Department (JAPEN) director-general Julina Johan.
The programme, organised by JAPEN, features informational content with patriotic messages through songs, dance, pantomime performances and interactive segments, which were a hit with visitors who have thronged Putrajaya since early this evening. The HOHO bus used are specially decorated with National Day themes, and served as backdrops for visitors to take selfies and pictures of their families and friends.
The Pentarama MerdekaHOHO also serves as a way to convey statehood messages in a casual approach, allowing them to truly understand the true meaning of independence. The tour is part of the activities in conjunction with the 2025 National Month celebrations in Putrajaya, and is supported by various government agencies and strategic partners.
The 2025 National Day celebrations, with the theme ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’ will begin as early as 7 am tomorrow, with a parade involving 14,062 participants from 81 contingents, 508 land and air assets, seven floats, 116 service animals and 21 bands. Visitors will also be entertained by national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin, who will perform the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) theme song entitled ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’.
