According to BERNAMA News Agency, the match took place at the SJF Bank Arena in Odense, where the Malaysian duo, who are the tournament's second seeds, won comfortably with scores of 21-12, 21-19.

In the upcoming quarter-finals, Tan and Thinaah are set to face India's Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, who advanced by defeating Indonesia's fifth seeds, Rachel Allessya Rose and Febi Setianingrum, with scores of 21-16, 21-17.

Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles category, Malaysia's Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai exited the tournament after a 17-21, 18-21 loss to the Danish team of Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje.
