Awaiting Pearly-Thinaah in the quarter-finals are fourth seeds Yuki Fukushima-Mayu Matsumoto of Japan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysia's challenge in the men's doubles ended in the second round today. Earlier, professional men's doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani lost to Denmark's Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard in a match that went the full three sets. Competing as the tournament's fifth seeds, world number five Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin surrendered the opening set 19-21 to the world No. 16 Danish pair. The Malaysians bounced back to take the second set 21-12 and force a decider but failed to maintain their momentum, losing 19-21 to the Danish duo.

Meanwhile, Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong also bowed out after losing 13-21, 19-21 to top seeds Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae of South Korea.
