Kuala Lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced its readiness to fully cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigation concerning two of its officers implicated in false claims related to the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Integration (C4i) system.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated that the two officers, holding the ranks of Superintendent and Inspector, have been remanded for a period of seven days starting today. Additionally, the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department had commenced financial audits into the C4i contract last year, uncovering improper payments to a company. These findings were subsequently reported to the MACC for further action.
Tan Sri Razarudin emphasized PDRM’s commitment to addressing corruption-related offenses, stating, “Whatever corruption-related offences we (PDRM) find in investigations, we will work with the MACC, including this case.” The MACC has remanded a total of six individuals, aged between 30 and 50, including the two police officers, a company director, and a chief finance officer, over false claims amounting to RM15 million.
