TFC’s Fighting Spirit Key In 4-1 Triumph – Coach Badrul Afzan

Terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) head coach Badrul Afzan Razali hailed his players’ discipline and fighting spirit after their convincing win over Kelantan The Real Warriors FC (Kelantan TRW) in the Super League last night. He said the 4-1 victory at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium was a timely morale boost as TFC aim to maintain momentum in their push for a top-three finish.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Badrul expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting the players’ resilience throughout the match. ‘I must praise the players for showing great spirit from the first whistle until the end. Alhamdulillah, we achieved our target of three valuable points to stay in third place,’ he told reporters after the match.

Badrul also noted improvements in the attacking department, with his side putting four goals past their opponents. This offensive success was a critical factor in securing their comprehensive victory.

On the other hand, Kelantan TRW head coach E. Elavarasan admitted his side were outclassed by a team with better quality in both foreign and local players. He acknowledged that defensive lapses in the first half proved costly, as TFC capitalised to score three goals, leaving Kelantan with little chance of recovery.

E. Elavarasan stated, ‘I admit we lost to a better team. TFC were stronger in midfield and attack, and we couldn’t close the gaps quickly enough.’ His comments underscored the challenges his team faced against TFC’s superior play.
