Melaka:Pakatan Harapan (PH) is launching the 'Melaka Rumah Kita' (Melaka Is Our Home) concept as part of its campaign for the upcoming Melaka State Election, unveiling its manifesto and future agenda for the state.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari outlined that the concept aims to express the coalition's vision for the state's future, focusing on enhancing the lives of Melaka's residents and charting a clear direction for progress if they are elected.

The 'Melaka Rumah Kita' initiative will commence with the opening of the PH main operations centre, referred to by Amirudin as the 'first pillar' of a broader framework to be rolled out throughout the election period. He emphasized a campaign that highlights substantive offers and ideas for the public's consideration, steering clear of political rhetoric.

Amirudin noted PH's experience in governing the state, referencing the tenure of Adly Zahari as Melaka Chief Minister in 2018. He expressed confidence in reclaiming traditional seats in areas like Kota Melaka and Ayer Keroh, citing the coalition's established presence and historical successes.

The Election Commission has scheduled the 16th Melaka State Election polling day for November 14, with nominations on October 31 and early voting on November 10. In the previous 2021 election, Barisan Nasional secured 21 of the 28 seats, while PH won five, and Perikatan Nasional took two.
