Kuala Lampur:The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has urged the people of Pahang and Malaysians to pray for rain to help reduce the haze currently affecting the region.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Comptroller of the Royal Household of the Sultan of Pahang, Maj Gen. (R) Datuk Mohamed Zahari Yahya, stated that His Royal Highness hopes communities and plantation companies in Kalimantan, Indonesia, will understand the need to cease open burning activities. These activities contribute to air pollution, impacting the health and well-being of people in the region.
His Royal Highness decreed that addressing the haze problem requires cooperation from all parties and continued efforts to safeguard public health and safety. He encouraged people to pray to Allah SWT and take measures to cope with the haze.
His Royal Highness also expressed hope that weather conditions would improve, with rain falling soon to help clear the air and mitigate the haze's effects.
